"Once again, the Washington State Historical Society needs to accomplish a complex move of historical artifacts. This is a five-part move of collections that needs to occur during March, April, May and June this spring. Items will be moved from our warehouse at Fife to the Research Center, and also re-arranged at each site to facilitate research being done on the collection as well as the installation of some shelving.

The artifacts to be moved are diverse in nature. They include 19th century furniture such as tables, sofas and organs, horse and motor driven vehicles, boxes with glass and ceramics, a kayak frame, small sailboat, 25' totem poles, sculpture, and some heavy equipment such as presses. We ask that whatever company is selected have previous experience moving greater than 2500 square feet of museum artifacts.

Our recent experience with the Lile Moving Company of Kent, Washington was excellent. No move in our history was better planned or executed. Their previous experience in moving the Seattle Art Museum and the Henry Gallery evident in both the planners and foremen selected for the job. It is our hope that these movers could again be trusted with the irreplaceable collections of the Washington State Historical Society."
